Spooky events for ages 6+
When autumn nights draw in and shadows lengthen across the meadows, something stirs in the White Dragon barn. Cobwebs glimmer, doors creak, and the castle range transforms into a haunted hall of eerie targets, glowing webs and ghostly fun.
This Halloween, join us in Bures (on the Essex–Suffolk border, near Colchester and Sudbury) for two brand-new spooky adventures — one for young ghost hunters, one for older adventurers who dare to shoot in the dark.

Glow-in-the-dark sharpshooting and archery for age 10+
When night falls, the lights go out. In near-darkness, with just enough glow for safety, the pins and targets shine ghostly green — eerie, irresistible, and ready for you to hit.
Brave adventurers and their families face:
Air pistols, revolvers and rifles at glowing pins and ghostly figures
Archery against spooky 2D and 3D targets
A finale like no other: loosing soft-tipped arrows at glowing pins in the dark
🎁 Every participant leaves with a gingerbread dragon and keepsake.

Spooky fun for kids aged 6+
In daylight, our barn becomes a safe-but-spooky playground filled with cobwebs, decorations and a costumed host. Young ghosthunters and their families take on:
NERF battles with pins and ghost targets
Spooky archery challenges with our friendly coaches
A finale with soft-tipped arrows against Halloween pins
🎁 Everyone leaves with a gingerbread dragon and keepsake.

Practical details
Location: White Dragon Activity Centre, Colne Road, Bures, Colchester CO8 5DJ (easy access from Colchester, Sudbury and Bures train station)
Accessibility: Our indoor castle range is step-free and wheelchair accessible. Coaches are DBS-checked, SEND-experienced, and adapt sessions to make sure everyone can join in safely.
