Team away days

with a difference

Reconnect your people with hands-on challenges

Whether you come for a half-day or a full away-day, your staff will be glowing with a sense of purpose after getting stuck into fun challenges with our lively coaches.

We’ve worked with local companies and charities for over ten years. From fun airgun target shooting for an accountancy firm to a nature-centred survival skills workshop for nurses, we’re experts in providing the atmosphere your colleagues need to come closer together.

Why White Dragon works for teams

Mix-and-match activities

Archery, axe throwing, airsoft target shooting, woodland survival, swordplay, campfire chillouts and team games. Build a bespoke day that suits your goals.

Meeting space sorted

Basic indoor room (tables, chairs, Wi-Fi, kettle) onsite, or a modern village hall two minutes away for slide decks and strategy chats.

Flexible location options

Our site boasts an indoor castle-themed range, five acres of private woodland and a covered outdoor shelter with campfire, tea & coffee. We can set up outdoor tents and gazebos if needed. Or we can come to you!

All-weather guarantee

Target sports run indoors or under cover if needed, so dates stay firm. Survival skills are always outdoors, but there is shelter.

Fun that fuels performance

Experienced coaches weave problem-solving games into every discipline so colleagues practise feedback, support and resilience while they play.

Activity options to include

  • Around 20 men laughing in a group at White Dragon's indoor archery range, holding props like swords and shields

    Archery

Choose to shoot modern recurve bows or medieval-style longbows. Your coach will teach you the basics before you move on to fun targets and tricky challenges.

Our coaches know how to make even total newbies shoot confidently and safely - and you don’t have to be strong.

  • Three women grinning mischievously with a set of airgun targets that have been shot through the centre

    Airguns

Not your standard boring rifle range!

You’ll get to try a host of Airsoft replica guns, from pistols through to semi-automatic burst fire. Reactive targets and exciting challenges light up your competitive side.

Whether you’ve shot before or not, you’ll soon be whooping, cheering and celebrating your new skills!

  • Wooden axe throwing target with circular scoring zones

    Axes

Lightweight throwing axes and increasingly tricky challenges!

Start with getting the hang of spinning your axe to stick in the target, then move onto splitting playing cards and more! Great stress relief.

  • Five women of different ages laughing together around a small campfire in the woods, with a simple bushcraft shelter made from a tarpaulin and rope

    Survival

    Discover your inner survivor!

Spark a fire with flint & steel, build a quick and effective shelter and toast up some delicious s’mores on the flames. No offputting macho vibes in our survival sessions, just plenty of laughs.

You’ll be with an experienced bushcraft instructor who knows the ways of the wild.

  • Young bearded man in glasses choosing a realistic foam sword from a stack offered to him by a lady

    Swordfighting

Yes, you read that right! Learn real swordfighting moves with your co-workers. The kind medieval fighters would actually have used.

Of course, the swords aren’t sharp. They’re made from realistic-looking, live-action roleplay foam. Safe, but with all the feel of the real thing.

We can also provide sword-based team games focused on confidence, transparency, trust and other core values.

  • Man and woman making sparks into a firebowl with a ferrocerium rod and knife, watched by a red-haired woman in a White Dragon Activity Centre jacket

    Campfire Chillout

Wind down around the firepit with marshmallows, crackling flames and complimentary tea/coffee—perfect reset between action blocks or to wrap up the day.

Typical Timetable

  • Hot drinks, safety briefing

  • Coaching and micro-competition in an activity of your choice

  • Introducing a problem-solving twist, such as a survival skills challenge or riddle trail.

  • Tea and coffee, locally-provided food. Depart or break for lunch and continue.

  • Block for you to introduce values discussion or raise a decision point with your team. We can support this with wider challenges that speak to the issue at hand, e.g:

    • Build trust through paired coaching on the bows.

    • Sharpen group decision-making during shelter-build races.

    • Spark creativity with themed targets and story briefs.
Full-day programmes usually end by 16:00.
